Jean-Marie Martin took possession of the Fonds-Préville house in Macouba in Martinique in 1845. He began producing this rum. which he called by the initials of his name. JM. Thus. the Cuvée 1845 JM was created to celebrate this heritage of nearly 170 years. and contains very few bottles. For the production of all these rums. the smallest and oldest distillery on the French island uses sugar cane from its domain and spring water directly from the volcano. Mount Pelée. This exceptional Cuvée is part of a blend of rums that has aged for at least 10 years in old 200-liter oak barrels.
